Are these prints originals?
Yes. Every print was made in its own day, by woodcut, engraving, etching, lithography or chromolithography, for a Bible, an atlas, a travel book or a series of devotional prints, and is sold as the original sheet. Nothing on this site is a reproduction or a modern print.
Can I browse by religion?
Yes. Every print is listed under its faith or faiths: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and the faiths of East Asia, and the indigenous religions of the Americas. A Holy Land map, for example, appears under both Judaism and Christianity. Use the faith buttons on any page.
How do you date a print?
By the book, atlas or series it comes from. The date shown is the year the sheet was printed, also given in Roman numerals as on an old title page. Where the date is approximate, it says circa.
Where do the prints ship from?
From Bartele Gallery in the Netherlands, flat between rigid boards, insured and tracked, to any country.
Can I return a print?
Yes. You may return any piece within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the price, provided it comes back in the condition in which it was sent.
Which currency am I charged in?
Prices are set in euros. Dollar and pound prices are converted at a recent exchange rate and rounded to the nearest 5. The amount charged is confirmed before payment.
